MOO Commands for Creating Objects on Connections

Creating Objects

@create $thing named <name of object> — creates a basic object

@addalias <desired alias> to <name of object> — adds additional names to the object

@rename <object> to <new name> — give the object a new name

@describe <object> as "<description>" — provide a description for a created object

@messages <object name> — allows you to see the object's messages.

@integrate_room <object> is "<description>" — customize the message that announces an object's presence in a room (don't use this command with furniture!)

@integrate_player <object> is "%Tld %tl:(is) carrying %ti." — customize the message that a player is carrying the object. Note, you can replace "carrying" with "wearing," "holding," or whatever you prefer.

<@message> <object> is "" — will remove a message (for instance, if I wanted to remove the @integrate_player message on an object named ball, I would enter: <@integrate_player ball is ""> )

Working with your objects

@audit me — gives you a list of all the objects you own, their aliases, and their location

@move <object number of your object> to me — will move your object to you. Useful if someone has run off with something you own.

@lock <object> with here — locks the object so no one, including yourself can pick it up until it is unlocked.

@lock <object> with me — locks the object so that only you can pick it up

@unlock <object> — unlocks an object.

@set <object>.proper to 1 — gets rid of articles for unique objects

@set <object>.proper to 0 — returns objects to the default so that they use articles

@chparent <name> to <desired generic> — this command lets you change the parent of your object. It's useful if you decide you've used the wrong generic for your object's parent

@recycle <object> — will get rid of an object you no longer want

@quota — will tell you how much quota you have left for making objects and building rooms

@measure new — give this command a try if you get a message that you've run out of quota when you know you still have quota available
