The Saint Louis University project management program offers a unique, tailored, disciplined and professional path to the industry-leading project management expertise demanded by corporate, government and nonprofit organizations. Bachelor's in Project Management

Offered entirely online through the School for Professional Studies, this program can be pursued as a Bachelor's degree, minor or as a freestanding project management certificate. You’ll gain the knowledge and skills you need to help lead change and manage resources across all industries and businesses as a project management professional.

You’ll build on your foundation of experience and apply the five basic project management processes as outlined in the PMBOK®: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.

Minor & Certificate

If you've already obtained a bachelor's degree or higher, or if you meet the prerequisites, SLU offers a stand-alone certificate in project management that can be pursued entirely online.

Certification Options

Students  gain industry certification while earning their Bachelor’s Degree through coursework in the Saint Louis University Workforce Center. The degree has the possibility to come with multiple certifications that are asked for by industry, such as PMP and ITIL.

We have implemented two simulators into our program, which use the latest technology, allowing students to experience real world situations.

The minor and certificate programs exceed the contact hours required by PMI to sit for the certification exam, exemplifying your project management expertise to employers.

Project management skills are needed across multiple disciplines, from technology to manufacturing, real estate to construction, and sales management to service. By 2020, the Project Management Institute projects an estimated 15.7 million vacant project management positions worldwide.

Tuition and Fees

The Anne Haltenhof Project Management Scholarship is awarded annually to a student pursuing a minor or certificate in project management through SLU’s School for Professional Studies. The scholarship is awarded based on financial need, fit of project management program with career goals, and quality of goal statement.

Applicant Criteria

Students interested in studying project management at SLU must apply directly to the School for Professional Studies. Applications are accepted and processed on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to apply for admission at least one month before the beginning of the term in which they wish to enroll.

To be eligible for admission, School for Professional Studies students must be at least 22 years old (exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis). Students must have a high school diploma or a GED composite score of at least 2250, and have at least three years of work experience or the equivalent. Students must also successfully complete an admission meeting with a SPS admissions counselor.
