Billiken Band,

Hope all is well with everyone and you are all enjoying your summer. Rehearsals are right around the corner so I thought would inform our new members and REMIND our returning members of our rehearsal schedule. I am still waiting to hear from events/facilities but I have requested the same time and place as we have had for the past 5 years.

Wednesdays-beginning August 27 thru Wednesay, November 5. Rehearsals will be in the lower level of McDonnell Douglas Hall and run from approximately 5:00 or 5:30 p.m.(I haven't confirmed an exact start time with the powers that be just yet) and we will go until 7:30 p.m.

We don't have many rehearsals so they are very important, as are the games we play. As I've said many times, "if you're going to be in the band, then be in the band". Members need to be there for rehearsals and performances. This is not a come as you please organization. If your schedules have changed and you feel you cannot make your obligations, please let me know. Band seating will be a premium in the new arena along with the fact the band will be smaller than years past. It's quality, not quantity, right?

It should be an exciting year with the new arena. With only 10,000 or so seats in the arena, most games will be close or at capacity, and provide a fun basketball environment. We will, no doubt, be rocking the place!

I will send out another email with an exact starting time for rehearsals as soon as I get it. Other than that, have fun, enjoy, and I look forward to seeing everyone very soon!
