Description of Bylaws:
 Article I - Name and Location

Section 1. The name of this organization shall be The MIS Club. This organization is located at the School of Business & Administration at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri.

 Article II - Club Mission

Section 1. Formed to foster professional development, the MIS Club provides guest speakers, the opportunity to learn social networking, assistance in the recruitment process, exposure to current issues facing business through interaction with industry partners, and additional learning opportunities.

 Article III - Membership

Section 1. Membership is open to any interested members of the Saint Louis University Community, especially those students interested in the MIS field.

 Article IV - Club Officers

Section 1. The President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Advisor shall be officers of the Club. Only Saint Louis University students may serve as officers.

Section 2. The President shall be to convene and preside over meetings of the Club and supervise and direct all Club activities.

Section 3. The duties of the Vice President shall be to act as industry liaison and arrange professional speakers and recruiters to speak at Club meetings.

Section 4. The duties of the Secretary shall be to maintain a record of all meetings, to oversee publicity for all meetings, and to maintain the MIS Club Announcements web page.

Section 5. The duties of Treasurer shall be to oversee Club funding and collect Club membership fees.

Section 6. An elected officer found deficient in his or her duties may be removed by a majority vote of active Club members.

Section 7. Non-elected committee chairs may be replaced by unanimous agreement of the Club's officers.

 Article V - Laws

Section 1. This organization may enact rules and regulations for club operations, providing such rules and regulations are consistent with the edicts and regulations of Saint Louis University and the School of Business & Administration. 

Section 2. These Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of the student membership in good standing of this organization, after first making a motion for any proposed amendment and then allowing that motion to lie on the table for at least one (1) week before a final vote is taken.

 Article VI - Voting

Section 1. Only student members of this organization in good standing shall have the right to vote.

Section 2. A majority of the student members of this organization in good standing shall constitute a quorum.
