membership

Membership dues primarily go to pay for expenses incurred by our instructor to transport boats and necessary equipment each Monday in addition to compensation for his time and effort in instructing the class. We feel that these dues represent an excellent value for the beginning paddler, given that some classes can cost as much as $50-100 per day in other parts of the country.

The SLU Kayak Club is also funded by the SGA and the Simon Rec. Center. We use these funds to pay for all equipment necessary for each student to use on our river trips.
