Are there any scholarships available for internationals? Where will I live during the summer? What's the latest on my visa? Where can I go hang out? What's in St. Louis anyway? Where can I meet new people? These are some of the most common questions that internationals ask. So read on and find out the answers!

Scholarships
Admission to SLU requires proof of financial support but just in case you were wondering, there are scholarships available for international students. You can apply for any of the top scholarships when applying to admission to SLU. But for those who are already here without a scholarship, there's still a number of options. The SLU Matteo Ricci Scholarship awards $2500 every year to international students with exceptional academic and leadership achievement. So there's reason to study hard!

There are also scholarship opportunities from private sources. FastWeb has many scholarship and internship opportunities that internationals may be eligible to receive. They usually require you to write an essay. But keep in mind that scholarship amounts vary and will only help you out in small amounts, so it is best to make sure you have secured financial support for the duration of your stay here.

Housing
As residence halls close during Thanksgiving, Christmas and summer break, internationals face challenges in finding temporary places to stay. For graduate students and others who don't have living arrangements on campus, there are many apartments available within the area. The ISF is currently working on making sure we have resources that we can refer to you.

At SLU, there's always something for everyone--whether you're interested in sports, culture, Greek life, volunteer work or networking with people within your career field. For a list of organizations on campus, click here. If you're an international, you are automatically a member of the ISF and this is a GREAT way to meet people from all over the world. So feel free to stop by our office at the Cross Cultural Center (Suite 240) in the Busch Student Center. We'd sure love to meet you!
