The Black Student Alliance of Saint Louis University is an organization like no other. As a chartered student organization, we offer a wide variety of activities throughout the academic year...Study groups, tutoring sessions, and peer mentoring are just a few of the programs offered to our members. During February, Black History Month, the BSA presents a number of educational and exciting events which features displays of talent, movie nights, church outings, historical presentations, and world-renowned keynote speakers!
While the BSA is very interested in academics and community service, we also take time out for fun activities. Our members enjoy fellowship through parties, BBQs, socials, co-sponsored activities, and study breaks. In addition, we sponsor formal activities such as The Harambee Ball and the Senior Reception.
One of our most exciting events of the year is the Cultural Extravaganza. The Cultural Extravaganza is an annual event that general members of the Black Student Alliance participate in during the fall semester, each academic school year. This is a highly anticipated event that has taken place for the past six years! Its main purpose is to allow members to experience culture of various cities near the St. Louis region. Typically after the Cultural Extravaganza, the organization as a whole becomes stronger; our members are more excited and willing to participate in events both socially and service related. The Black Student Alliance has made a commitment to keeping our traditional trips continuous.
The Executive Board and members of the BSA invite you to become a member and share in the heritage of this organization.
