The Biomedical Engineering Society is a national organization founded to promote the increase of biomedical engineering knowledge and its utilization.  The society itself was founded in Illinois in 1968, and our chapter at Saint Louis University was founded in 2001.

Our chapter here at Saint Louis University is growing, we have big plans and high hopes for the future of this group.  We strive to support our Biomedical Engineering program here at Saint Louis University through fundraising, fellowship activities, and informational meetings.

We would like to congratulate former SLU undergraduates Matt Wood and Matt Blewitt for winning two of the five Undergraduate Research Awards at the BMES conference in Baltimore this year. Matt Wood is now doing his graduate work at Washington University in Saint Louis, while Matt Blewitt is doing his graduate work here at SLU. Congratulations to both of them.
