SIUE & SLU Spring Breaks. Enjoy the time off!
NATCON in Chicago
The Squadron recently took advantage of the opportunity to work with the Metro East Weather Crisis Task Force for our first service project. AAS Actives Lynn Aird, Chris Buzzetta, Joe Carroll, Ben Dempsey, Matteo DiMercurio, Victoria Lucas, Will Lukach, Chris Logsdon, Matt Tempia and me, joined by a fellow AFROTC Cadet, Charlie Schoen, traveled to East St. Louis to meet with the volunteer group where we got the chance to visit with and distribute food to the less fortunate citizens of the area. The experience was one that we can all look back and appreciate as we continue our AFROTC and Air Force lives.
The core value "Service before Self" could not escape the minds of those cadets with us that day. This value continues to ignite fervor in finding new ways to help society around us through any decisions or actions we make. Arnold Air Society would like to thank our Operations Officer Cadet Lukach for organizing such an enjoyable and effective service project. We look forward to doing many more projects like this one this semester.
