The Simon Recreation Center is a 120,000-square-foot hub of all fitness and wellness on campus. It features a pool, whirlpool, sports courts, a bouldering wall, fitness center, spinning studio, indoor track, locker rooms and lounge areas and juice bar, among other amenities.
The outdoor recreation adjacent to Simon Recreation Center, known on campus as SLUruba, includes two pools, lounge chairs, a sand volleyball court and a barbecue grill. It is open daily beginning in early spring and remains open into the fall, as long as Simon Recreation members continue to use the space.
Please note that the grill is only available through the facility reservation form.
Campus Recreation maintains four outdoor fields for drop-in recreation, intramural sports and club sports. Field reservations are made through the facility reservation form.
The fitness facility in the lower level of Salus Center features treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes and stair-climbing machines. The fitness center also includes limited free-weights and selectorized strength systems.
On-site locker rooms and towel service also are available.
The Salus Fitness Center is open to members of the Simon Recreation Center.
The Medical Center Recreational Complex features a natural grass soccer field and an eight-lane track. In addition to club sports and drop-in recreation, the facility hosts SLU's track and field team — the largest NCAA Division I sports team at the University.
Located just east of the Hickory garages, near the Allied Health Professions Building at SLU's Medical Center, the complex is open to community drop-in use.
