Research Interests
Heart rate turbulence: This is a baroreflex based predictor of general mortality, cardiac mortality, and arrhythmic mortality. Wikipedia entry
Phase rectified signal analysis: This is a brand new predictor of cardiac mortality. It debuted in May of 2006. See Lancet 2006;367:1674-1681.
Iterated maps. This is a non-linear dynamics technique that can explain many electrocardiographic phenomena to a first approximation.

Current Research Projects
Study of the relationship between ventricular ectopy timing, heart rate turbulence, and blood pressure in patients receiving electrophysiology study or implantable defibrillators (ongoing).
Study of the effect of isoproterenol on the relationship between diastolic interval and action potential duration in rabbits with congestive heart failure (this study is at data analysis stage, no more experiments will be done).
Study of the effect of obstructive sleep apnea on ventricular arrhythmia frequency
