CST360 Networking and Communications I CST460 Networking and Communications II CST130 – Introduction to Information Systems CJST/CST/OSTD 485
|
This web site describes the two Networking and Communications classes I teach for the School for Professional Studies. Both classes require the students to do research and present their research and recommendations to the class. CST360 requires a group of 2 - 4 students to research an area of networking and communications in more depth than covered in class or a topic not covered in class. CST460 involves Service Learning projects that requires each student to contact a not-for-profit organization, study their current computer network, determine their future needs, and design and configure an enhanced network that fits those needs. The network design is presented to the class for critique, then presented to the organization so they may use it for implementation. Each student works individually. Some projects, because of their size, may require a group of students. Some organizations studied may be for profit. This was approved in advance. To view Service Leaning Projects for CST460. More in depth descriptions of the projects can be seen in the Syllabus. I also teach the following classes: Introduction to Information Systems, Introduction to Informatics and the Portfolio Pro Seminar. See list at left. Please contact me with any questions you may have. |
