            Assembly 3 of the Neurospora mitochondrial sequence determined by

            Neurospora Sequencing Project: Whitehead Institute/MIT Center for             Genome Research (www-genome.wi.mit.edu). The sequence is numbered          from the BamHI site in EcoRI fragment 6, just upstream from EcoRI       fragment 1, at the 12 o'clock position on the traditional circular          map of Neurospora mtDNA. The following references report the             original sequencing and identification of many of the mitochondrial           genes. The remaining genes have also been identified in unpublished             sequencing mainly from the labs of H. Bertrand, R. Collins, F.                   Nargang, U. RajBhandary and H de Vries.
