Christopher M. Conway, PhD Neurocognition of Learning and Communication (NLC) Lab |
|
The goals of the NLC lab are to investigate the cognitive and neural mechanisms of learning, memory, and language. We have a specific interest in how people encode and represent events occurring in sequence – especially through implicit learning – and whether disturbances in such learning processes can help elucidate certain kinds of sensory and communication disorders, such as deafness. In short, we pursue basic research to understand the fundamental principles of learning, memory, and language, and then apply this newfound knowledge to address important health-related clinical issues including deafness and other communication disorders.
