Transfer Student Admission

Transferring to SLU

It doesn’t matter where your college career began, we’ll help you finish what you started.

At Saint Louis University, we welcome transfer students and the diversity of intellectual experiences they bring to our campus. And because you may have different concerns than traditional first-year students, we offer specialized programs and services that will make your transition to SLU so seamless, it will feel as if you've always been a Billiken.

Apply Today

SLU is currently accepting transfer student applications for both the spring and fall semesters. Eligible transfer students must demonstrate a strong academic record at a two-year or community college, or a four-year college or university. Admitted transfer students are able to see their official transcript evaluations, scholarship offers and have pre-enrollment meetings with faculty from their academic area.

Students transferring for the fall term are eligible to compete for SLU’s Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship. The scholarship application deadline is Feb. 1. You must first apply for transfer admission before completing the scholarship application.

Transfer applications are completed online and processed on a rolling basis, although select programs may have specific deadlines for when students may apply and enroll.

Will My Credits Transfer?

Wondering if the courses you've already taken will count toward a degree at SLU? Our course transfer form gives you an unofficial course evaluation, so you'll have a good idea of  where things stand before you transfer to SLU.

To learn without a doubt what will transfer and count for credit at SLU, you must submit official transcripts from every college or university you previously attended. Your previous college coursework will be officially reviewed and approved for transfer upon acceptance to SLU.
